I had wanted to go to Mackinac Island for years and finally had the opportunity to do so this year. The front porch of the motel with its cool breeze and rocking chairs provided a beautiful view of the Lake and ships out in the water. The fire pits on the lawn were awesome at night as we sat around and talked with other guests of the motel. The room was clean, the staff was exceptional, and the breakfast was great. We plan to return.

We stayed here one night in August. The property is very nice, the building condition is a little outdated but it is obvious they are working on that. The lobby was amazing and relaxing with sections to read, relax and pick up som merch. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very limited, but the area was very nice. The room decor and furniture is very updated, super clean, functional and comfy! One suggestion is a floating shelf in the corner of the bathroom, there was no where to put cosmetic bag, etc except the floor. It would be nice to have a mirror in the main room also, but overall, there is nothing but good to say! The location is perfect for many shops, restaurants, and ferries and close to the highway. For the price this is a perfect place to stay and we would definitely stay here again.

The esthetic of the buildings and grounds are very pleasing at first glance. In reality it appears to be an old econo lodge type motel remodeled with mcm details, but the musty smell remains in the room. The shower curtain liner was stained. The staff was very nice and the restaurant gets very busy for dinner with both guests and locals. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but the menu was well planned. The property is not on the beach. There is a nature preserve across the street, about a 30 minute walk to get to the beach. There was no car access to the nature preserve during road work.
